Tigerville, S.C.----The third-seeded and 19th-ranked University of Mount Olive Trojans scored the final six runs of the day Thursday afternoon, rallying for a 7-6 victory over sixth-seeded Wingate University on the opening day of the 2024 NCAA Southeast Regionals. The Trojans improve to 38-16 overall, while the Bulldogs fall to 33-24 on the season.

- He scored on Clark's infield single to give the 'Dogs a 2-1 lead

SEVENTH INNING

- A Williams-Rhem double and Harris single put Bulldogs on the corners
- Barnett crushed a three-run shot to left center to make it 4-1
- It is his eighth homer in the last seven games, while also tying the WU single-season record
- Barnett has 25 homers and 85 RBI on the year
- Michael Dansky reached on a two-out error, then stole second
- He scored on Clark's RBI double to put the 'Dogs on top by five
- Mount Olive scored five times in the bottom of the frame to tie it
- RBI singles from Cottle and Anthony Mitta made it 6-4
- Joshua Kabayama tied it at six with a two-out, RBI single

EIGHTH INNING

- Three walks loaded the bases for the 'Dogs in the eighth
- Ishmael hit a sharp line drive, but it was handled by the UMO shortstop

NINTH INNING

- A walk, error and wild pitch put Bulldogs on second and third to start the ninth
- Wingate had back-to-back runners thrown out trying to score on groundouts
- A flyout ended the threat
- An error, stolen base and sacrifice in the bottom of the frame put a UMO runner on third with one out
- Back-to-back intentional walks loaded the bases
- Dylan Jeffries delivered the game-winning RBI single to left

WRAPUP

- Andrew Ledbetter got the win, tossing two shutout frames despite walking five
- Dylan Story took the loss, allowing an unearned run on one hit in two-thirds of an inning
