Tigerville, S.C.----In a matchup featuring two of the last three national champions, the sixth-seeded Wingate University Bulldogs held off second-seeded and third-ranked North Greenville University 11-10 on day two of the NCAA Southeast Regional baseball tournament. The Bulldogs improve to 34-24 overall, while the Crusaders end their season at 41-14. Wingate will be back in action Saturday in Tigerville, playing in another elimination game at 12 p.m.

FOURTH INNING

SIXTH INNING
- A one-out double from Courville started things for the Bulldogs in the sixth
- He moved to third on a Harris single, then scored on Barnett's RBI single pushing the lead to seven
SEVENTH INNING
- The Crusaders scored six in the seventh to make it a one-run game
- Pat Monteith delivered the big blow with a grand slam
- Kaleb Hall added a solo shot, making it 8-7
- Two hit batters and a wild pitch put runners on second and third for Wingate in the bottom of the frame
- Dansky scored on a wild pitch to give the Bulldogs a two-run lead
- Courville's sacrifice fly gave the 'Dogs a 10-7 advantage
EIGHTH INNING
- An RBI double from Jax Cash highlighted a two-run North Greenville eighth, making it 10-9
- Harris drew a walk to start the bottom of the inning, then moved to second on a wild pitch
- He then moved to third on a wild pitch and scored on another one to make it 11-9
NINTH INNING
- Two walks and a hit batter loaded the bases for North Greenville with two outs in the ninth
- A wild pitch allowed one run to score, making it a one-run game

Brent Walls came in and got the game-ending striking, stranding the tying run on third
WRAPUP
- Morton got the win, moving to 5-3 on the year
- He allowed three runs on three hits in six innings, striking out six
- Walls struck out the only batter he faced to notch his third save of the year
- Reece Fields took the loss, allowing seven runs on five hits in five innings, striking out four and walking three
