Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs shot over 50 percent from three-point range Wednesday night, prevailing 90-85 in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action in Cuddy Arena. Wingate improves to 6-6 overall and 5-5 in the SAC, while the Indians fall to 8-6 overall and 6-5 in league play.

- An O'Mazeon Tinsley layup at the 14:28 mark tied it at 14
- Zion McDuffie's layup two minutes later gave Catawba a 20-16 advantage
- Walker's layup with 8:32 to go made it 26-20
- A Lingo triple a minute later cut the lead to three
- Kris Robinson's bucket with six minutes left gave the Indians a 35-26 lead
- Triples from Lingo and Miller pulled the 'Dogs back within five
- Two Jashaun Hawkins free throws at the 3:45 mark put Catawba on top 41-32
- Back-to-back Grant layups and a Miller bucket cut the lead to three at the 2:20 mark
- Robinson buried a three with 46 seconds left to stretch the lead back to nine

SECOND HALF

- A Miller layup and Pack three-point play pulled Wingate within one less than 90 seconds in
- Pack's four-point play gave the Bulldogs a 56-53 advantage at the 17:38 mark

- Pack and Erbeck answered with threes to give the 'Dogs a 64-58 advantage
- Taylor buried a triple with 11:17 to go to give WU a 69-62 lead
