Ninety Six, S.C.----The No. 5 Wingate University men's golf team led wire-to-wire, taking home the Patriot Fall Classic team and individual hardware Tuesday. The Bulldogs finished 54 holes with a 30-under-par 834, a whopping 17 strokes better than host Lander. The LU Bearcats hosted this event at the
Patriot Golf Course at Grand Harbor.

On Tuesday morning, Wingate wrapped up an impressive second round with a 16-under-par 272. The season-low round gave the Bulldogs a 16-stroke advantage over Lander and Saint Leo entering the third and final round. The '25 NCAA semi-finalists shot a three-under-par 285 in Tuesday's third round to complete their program-record, 30-under-par total.

Storer wins medalist playoff over teammate Beeden for first career individual title

Seniors
Alfie Storer and
Lewis Beeden completed three rounds tied at 11-under-par 205, a career-low, 54-hole score for both Bulldogs. Storer prevailed on the second playoff hole to collect his first collegiate medalist crown. Storer's scorecard included rounds of 68, 67 and 70, while Beeden posted rounds of 67, 66 and 72.

Storer birdied the last two holes Tuesday to reach the playoff, while Beeden birdied the 18th hole to tie his teammate. Storer's second-round, five-under-par 67 matches his career-low, 18-hole score. Lander freshman
Filip Yngfalk finished one shot behind Wingate's dynamic duo at 10-under-par 206.

- Beeden's 18th hole birdie followed uncharacteristic bogeys on 16 and 17
- Beeden led Wingate's top five with five birdies in the final round
- Storer was one of three Bulldogs with four birdies in the third round

- Skidmore tied for seventh place at five-under-par 211 (70-72-69)

- D'Errico finished at three-under-par 213 with rounds of 70, 69 and 74

- Beeden led Wingate with his six-under-par 66
- Storer and Loewe posted identical five-under-par 67s
- Loewe had an eagle on the par-five, 578-yard hole No. 13
- Skidmore rounded out Wingate's counting scores with a 72
- Newcomer D'Errico recorded a three-under-par 69
- He also had a second-round eagle to his credit (par-four, 355-yard No. 6)
