Wingate, N.C.----The 19th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs held visiting Carson-Newman University to a season-low 26 kills and .051 hitting percentage Friday night, rolling to a 3-0 victory in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action in Cuddy Arena. Wingate won by scores of 25-15, 25-12 and 25-20 to improve to 22-1 overall and 15-0 in the SAC. The Eagles fall to 18-4 overall and 9-4 in league play. The 'Dogs have won 21 straight on the year, while notching their 17th sweep of the season.
