Atlanta, Ga.----The top-10 Wingate University men's and women's swimming teams are competing in the two-day Emory Fall Invitational, hosted by the EU Eagles at the Madeleine Jude Brown Aquatic Center. The event concludes Saturday with session two beginning at 11 a.m. EST.
 
On the men's side, the No. 7 Bulldogs are second on the three-team charts with 291 points. NCAA Division III No. 2 Emory leads the way with 347 points. No. 19 Carson-Newman is third. The No. 9 Wingate women are second in the five-team standings with 247 points. NCAA Division III No. 3 Emory has 382 points. No. 23 Carson-Newman is third.
 
Men's notes
 
- Junior Damir Ipkaev finished first in the 500 Free (4:26.69)
- Sophomore Yassine Sebbata won the 100 Free (43.73)
- Wingate won the session-concluding 400 Medley Relay (3:14.13)
- Freshman Artur Vilela de Queiroz earned two silver medals
- He finished second in the 200 IM (1:49.02) and 100 Breast (54.42)
 
Women's notes
 
- Senior Giulianna Garcia finished third in the 200 Fly (2:05.42)
- Wingate finished third in the 400 Medley Relay (3:49.84)
