Greeneville, Tenn.----The Wingate University Bulldogs had five players score in double figures Saturday afternoon, prevailing 85-74 in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action at Tusculum University. The Bulldogs improve to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in the SAC, while the Pioneers fall to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in league play.

- A TJ Printup dunk gave Tusculum a 7-0 lead two minutes in
- Buckets from Miller and Pack cut the lead to one at 9-8 with 15 minutes left
- An Amari Allen jumper gave the Pioneers an 18-11 advantage at the 12:45 mark
- A Godley triple and two Lingo free throws tied it at 18
- Lingo's triple with 8:46 to go put the 'Dogs on top 21-19
- Carr's putback three minutes later extended the lead to three at 25-22
- A layup and two free throws from Lingo, along with a Godley jumper gave WU a 32-24 lead
- Reed Ownby's bucket with a minute left trimmed the lead to five
- A Carr jumper and Godley free throw extended the Wingate lead back to eight
- Allen's layup at the buzzer made it 38-32 at halftime
SECOND HALF
- Two Pack threes and a Carr dunk gave the 'Dogs a 46-35 lead two minutes into the second half
- Tusculum scored the next 12, taking a 47-46 lead on a Wesley Johnson triple with 15 minutes left
- Printup's layup two minutes later stretched the Pioneer lead to three
- Buckets from Campbell and
Jayden Street, along with a Miller three gave Wingate a 58-56 lead
- Layups from Godley and Carr, along with a Miller three put the 'Dogs on top 67-58 with 5:49 to go
- Bryce Jackson's layup pulled the Pioneers back within five a minute later
- Godley's jumper at the 3:32 mark gave the Bulldogs a 71-62 advantage
- Vick's layup with 2:31 to go stretched the lead to 11
- The Pioneers got no closer than nine the rest of the way
