What They Are Saying

Wingate head indoor track and field coach Jackie Kirby

"I'm really proud of the way our team showed up at the JDL Winston Sale College Kick-Off. From the veterans to the freshmen, everyone competed with a purpose and set the tone for the season ahead. I saw grit, poise and a commitment to doing the little things right. This meet was a strong first step…and I'm excited to see how we build from here."

Wingate senior men's track and field student-athlete Deon Sumpter

"Today was my first meet of my senior year! We ran at the completely-new-on-the-inside JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem. I was excited to compete in the 200 meters Saturday and I hit a 21.92 as my time. The team overall did well in my opinion and I'm very excited for what's to come."
