Schedule changes announced for Wingate baseball and softball this weekend

Wingate, N.C.----Due to the threat of inclement weather, Wingate University baseball and softball teams have both announced schedule changes. The baseball team has shifted their three-game series against UVA Wise, which will now start with a doubleheader Friday at 3 p.m., with the final game scheduled to start Saturday at 1 p.m. The softball team has also updated the schedule, playing two games Saturday and two more Sunday at Union Academy in Monroe, N.C.

The Bulldog softball team will now face Molloy in a doubleheader Saturday, with game one starting at noon at Union Academy. The Sunday schedule will remain the same, with the 'Dogs facing Molloy at 11 a.m. and Shippensburg at 3 p.m. Molloy will take on Shippensburg at 1 p.m. Live stats will be available for all five games this weekend, with video available for all three contests on Sunday.

The baseball series was originally set to begin with one game Friday at 4 p.m. and a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m. With threatening weather throughout the day Saturday, the doubleheader will now take place on Friday, starting at 3 p.m.
