#16 Wingate picks up second straight 15-14 overtime victory

Box Score Cleveland, Tenn.----For the second time in as many games this season, the #16 Wingate University Bulldogs prevailed 15-14 in overtime, taking down Alabama Huntsville in NCAA Division II women's lacrosse action. The Bulldogs move to 2-0 on the year, while the Chargers fall to 1-3 overall. Nelida Watson netted the game-winning goal in overtime for the 'Dogs.

KEY BULLDOGS

- Megan Millard had four goals, two assists, three draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover
- Emily Blakely added two goals, two ground balls, an assist and a CT
- Bree Solero contributed two goals, a draw control, ground ball and caused turnover
- Watson had two goals, adding an assist and ground ball
- Claire Fuchs registered a goal, assist, three ground balls, two draw controls and a CT
- Amelia Benner added a goal, three ground balls and a caused turnover
- Jamie Weber contributed a goal and a CT
- Kaleigh Wilgeroth handed out a pair of assists
- Julia Garvin also scored a goal
- Kathryn McCabe piled up nine draw controls, four ground balls and a pair of CTs
- Riley Boone registered 10 saves on the day
