Wise, Va.----The Wingate University Bulldogs raced out to a 40-18 halftime lead Saturday afternoon, rolling to a 76-62 victory at UVA Wise in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action. The Bulldogs improve to 17-9 overall and 16-6 in the SAC, while the Cavaliers fall to 10-16 overall and 7-15 in league play.

- Threes from Chavis and Baraldi gave the 'Dogs a 19-8 lead with 1:27 to go
- Oliver drilled a three in the final seconds to make it 24-10

SECOND QUARTER

- An Oliver bucket and Chavis layup gave Wingate a 31-11 lead four minutes in
- Sable Burnside's triple cut the lead to 16, but Bacon and Oliver answered with buckets to make it 36-16
- Two Anderson free throws with 1:23 remaining put the 'Dogs on top 40-18

THIRD QUARTER

- A Caroline Mullins three pulled UVA Wise within 11 at 44-33 with 5:18 to go
- A Bri Hughes layup at the midway point gave the Bulldogs a 13-point advantage
- An Alissa Cheek triple cut the lead to 10, but a Bacon three and Michela Jones layup pushed it back to 15
- Oliver's jumper with a minute to go put the 'Dogs on top 53-36
- Cheek's triple at the buzzer cut the lead to 12 at 53-41

FOURTH QUARTER

- Baraldi started the fourth quarter with a jumper to stretch the lead to 14
- An Ella Karst layup with nine minutes left cut the lead to nine at 55-46
- An Oliver jumper and two Bacon free throws extended the advantage back to 13
- Burnside's bucket at the 6:17 mark pulled UVA Wise back within nine
- Oliver's jumper with 5:16 remaining gave Wingate a 62-50 advantage
- A Chavis layup with 2:14 to go gave the 'Dogs a 67-53 lead
- UVA Wise got no closer than 10 the rest of the way
