Charleston, W.Va----The 23rd-ranked Seton Hill Griffins picked up a 12-9 victory over #16 Wingate University in an NCAA Division II women's lacrosse top-25 showdown Sunday afternoon. The Griffins move to 1-0 on the year, while the Bulldogs fall to 3-1.

FIRST QUARTER
- Seton Hill scored all three goals in the first frame, capped by a Brooklyn Miller goal at the 2:34 mark
SECOND QUARTER
- Carleigh Sutfin scored a minute into the second to give the Griffins a 4-0 lead
- Wilgeroth scored with 9:58 to go to get the 'Dogs on the board
- Grace Agnello answered with a goal a minute later to make it 5-1
- Millard's goal off a Fuchs assist at the 7:16 mark cut the lead to three
- A Carley O'Mara goal with 2:55 remaining gave Seton Hill a 6-2 advantage
- Higgins scored off Millard's assist in the final minute to make it 6-3 at halftime
THIRD QUARTER
- Wilgeroth scored in the opening minute of the half to cut the lead to two
- SHU scored the next two, with an Agnello goal making it 8-4 at the 10:51 mark
- Scherer scored off Wilgeroth's assist with 7:17 to go
- Higgins added a goal off a Scarfogliero assist to make it a two-goal game with 4:39 left
- Sutfin scored two minutes later, making it 9-6 heading to the fourth
FOURTH QUARTER
- Wilgeroth's goal six minutes into the final frame made it 9-7
- Solero scored 37 seconds later to make it a one-goal game
- The Griffins scored the next two, taking an 11-8 lead on an Ella Wroblewski goal
- Wilgeroth scored again at the 4:47 mark to pull the Bulldogs back within two
- Sutfin capped the scoring at the 2:52 mark to make the final margin 12-9
