Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs got another big night from Kendall Taylor, holding on for an 87-85 victory over Coker University in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action in Cuddy Arena Wednesday night. The Bulldogs improve to 11-14 overall and 10-13 in the SAC, while the Cobras fall to 18-9 overall and 14-9 in league play.

- Taylor's triple pulled the 'Dogs back within six
- Two Xavier Harris free throws at the 7:40 mark gave Coker a 30-20 advantage
- A thunderous dunk from Taylor capped a 6-0 run to pull Wingate back within four
- Jonah Vaysbakh's triple with 3:51 to go gave the Cobras a 36-28 lead
- A Hall triple, followed by back-to-back Taylor buckets cut the lead to one with 37 seconds left
- Jamie Muldowney's triple with 27 seconds remaining pushed the lead to four
- Erbeck buried a three at the buzzer to make it 39-38 at halftime

SECOND HALF

- Glenn Bynum's three in the opening minute gave Coker a 44-38 advantage
- WU scored the next nine, starting with an Erbeck triple and capped by Miller's jumper to take a 47-44 lead

- Coan's layup two minutes later gave Coker a three-point lead

- Matty Foor knocked down two free throws with 22 seconds left, pushing the lead back to four
- Murray's layup with eight seconds left made it 84-82
- Taylor knocked down two more free throws a second later to extend the lead to four
- Muldowney knocked down a deep triple with three seconds left, making it a one-point game
- Foor was fouled with two seconds left, making the first free throw to give WU an 87-85 lead
- He missed the second, but the 'Dogs were able to fight for the rebound as the clock expired
