Wilson, N.C.----The eighth-ranked Wingate University women's tennis team rolled to a 6-1 victory at Barton College Saturday afternoon, while the ninth-ranked men's team prevailed 5-2 at Barton. Both teams move to 2-0 on the season.

#8 WINGATE WOMEN 6 BARTON 1

DOUBLES

- Chloe Kosmrlj teamed with Daniela Kotara for a 7-5 win at two doubles
- Suzuka Sambyakugari and Fernanda Castillo dropped a tough 7-6 match at one doubles
- Barton won 6-4 at three doubles to take a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Kosmrlj won 6-2, 6-3 at one singles
- Castillo prevailed 6-1, 7-5 at two singles
- Sambyakugari notched a 6-4, 6-0 victory at three singles
- Sophie Quagraine won 6-1, 3-6, 10-7 at four singles
- Claudia Vallejos prevailed 6-4, 6-0 at five singles
- Gigi Hinson won 6-4, 6-3 at six singles

#9 WINGATE MEN 5 BARTON 2

DOUBLES

- Luka Brown and Carlo Rosellini won 7-6 at one doubles
- Petar Basic Palkovic teamed with Jashan Joachim for a 7-5 victory at three doubles
- Wingate took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Gabriel Constantino won 6-3, 6-3 at one singles
- Rosellini prevailed 6-4, 6-2 at three singles
- Federico Spinetta notched a 6-3, 6-2 win at five singles
- Rodrigo De la Torre rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 victory at six singles
