Wilson, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs rolled to a 9-4 victory in game one of Saturday's NCAA Division II softball doubleheader at Barton College, while Barton held off a WU rally to prevail 6-5 in game two. Wingate moves to 8-10 on the season; Barton goes to 8-8 overall.

- A Makenzie Cyzick RBI triple and Madison Mercer sacrifice fly in the bottom of the inning cut the lead in half

Riley Davis led off the inning with a single, then moved to third on an error
- She scored when Scott drew a bases-loaded walk to make it 5-2
FIFTH INNING
- Singles from Hobgood and Jaden Burns, along with a walk loaded the bases for Wingate
- McFadden's RBI groundout gave WU a four-run cushion
- Huneycutt then reached on an error, allowing two runs to score and making it 8-2
SIXTH INNING
- Kramer connected on a pinch-hit solo homer to give the Bulldogs a 9-2 lead
WRAPUP
- Thomas got the win, moving to 4-4 on the year
- She allowed two runs on two hits in four innings, striking out six
- Dudley did not allow an earned run in her three innings, giving up two hits and striking out three
- Kiersten Cooper took the loss, allowing four runs on four hits in 2 1/3 innings
