Both top-15 Wingate teams cruise to 7-0 victories over Lions in SAC openers

Monroe, N.C.----The eighth-ranked Wingate University women's tennis team and 11th-ranked Bulldog men's team both opened league play in style, rolling to 7-0 victories against Mars Hill University Saturday afternoon. The women move to 5-2 overall and 1-0 in the SAC, while the men go to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in league play.

- Chloe Kosmrlj teamed with Daniela Kotara for a 6-0 win at one doubles
- Suzuka Sambyakugari and Gigi Hinson won by the same score at two doubles
- Fernanda Castillo and Claudia Vallejos won by forfeit at three doubles

SINGLES

- Kosmrlj and Castillo won 6-0, 6-1 at one and two singles, respectively
- Sambyakugari and Vallejos rolled to 6-0, 6-0 victories at three and four singles, respectively
- Hinson and Mariia Bobrovska won by forfeit at five and six singles

- Carlo Rosellini teamed with Luka Brown for a 6-1 win at one doubles
- Gabriel Constantino and Martino Colabella prevailed 6-2 at two doubles
- Petar Basic Palkovic and Jashan Joachim led 5-2 at three doubles when the point was clinched
- The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Constantino rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 win at one singles
- Florian Walcher prevailed 6-3, 6-3 at two singles
- Rosellini won 6-1, 6-3 at three singles
- Brown cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 victory at four singles
- Federico Spinetta notched a 6-2, 6-1 win at five singles
