Bristol, Tenn.----The Wingate University Bulldogs got complete-game victories from Jillian Thomas and Lily Huneycutt Sunday afternoon en route to a doubleheader sweep at King University in NCAA Division II softball action. Wingate won the opener 6-1, while prevailing 2-0 in game two to improve to 21-15 overall. The Tornado fall to 19-11 on the season.

GAME ONE | WINGATE 6 KING 1

- Scott delivered a two-out, three-run double to left center to make it 5-0
- Burns followed with an RBI single to give the 'Dogs a six-run lead

WRAPUP

- Huneycutt got the win, allowing an unearned run on four hits in seven innings, striking out eight
- Savana Luper took the loss, allowing two runs on three hit sin four innings of work
