Wingate, N.C.----Playing at home for the first time this season, the Wingate University Bulldogs got a dominant pitching performance from
Jillian Thomas in game one, then got a
Hannah Stevens grand slam in game two en route to a doubleheader sweep over Emory & Henry in South Atlantic Conference softball action. Wingate won the opener 8-0, while prevailing 6-2 in game two to improve to 12-10 overall and 4-0 in the SAC, while the Wasps fall to 17-7 overall and 1-3 in league play.
