#12 Wingate rides dominant second half to 26-7 victory over Cobras

Wingate, N.C.----The 12th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs closed out the regular season in style, outscoring Coker University 18-3 in the second half en route to a 26-7 victory in South Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse action at Irwin Belk Stadium and Founders Field. Wingate improves to 11-4 overall and 6-4 in the SAC, while the Cobras fall to 7-9 overall and 4-6 in league play.

- Moran scored 70 seconds into the second to extend the lead to five
- Grant and Clark scored off assists from Goss and Spence to make it 8-3 with 3:09 to go
- Sawyer Alexander scored with 18 seconds left to cut the halftime led to four

THIRD PERIOD

- The Bulldogs scored the first 11 goals of the third frame
- Spence scored in the opening minute, while Butrico scored off a Papach assist to make it 10-4
