#17 Wingate rolls past Lincoln Memorial to push winning streak to 10

Harrogate, Tenn.----The Wingate University Bulldogs stayed perfect in league play Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 16-6 victory at Lincoln Memorial University in South Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse action. The Bulldogs improve to 13-1 overall and 8-0 in the SAC, while the Railsplitters fall to 7-8 overall and 4-5 in league play.

- Wingate out-shot LMU 41-18, with a 25-8 edge in shots on goal
- The Bulldogs won 16 of the 26 draw controls

FIRST QUARTER

- Josie Tinnerello gave LMU a 1-0 lead at the 12:40 mark
- Buckmaster tied it at one with nine minutes to go
- Jalee Davis answered 40 seconds later to put the Railsplitters back on top
- Millard scored off a Blakely assist at the 5:35 mark to tie it
- Buckmaster's goal a minute later put the 'Dogs on top 3-2

SECOND QUARTER

- Millard scored two minutes into the second to stretch the lead to two
- Solero scored back-to-back goals, with Scherer assisting on the second at the 10:15 mark
- Benner scored with 3:49 to go, giving Wingate a 7-3 advantage
- Scarfogliero scored 34 seconds later to give the Bulldogs a five-goal lead at the half

THIRD QUARTER

- Benner scored in the opening minute of the second half to make it 9-3
- Wilgeroth scored 48 seconds later to put the 'Dogs in double figures
- Weber scored off a Buckmaster assist at the 11:28 mark, making it 11-3
- Allen's goal off a Scarfogliero assist stretched the lead to nine
- Josie Tinnerello's goal at the 5:40 mark cut the lead to seven
- Buckmaster answered a minute later off a Blakely assist to make it 13-5

FOURTH QUARTER

- Buckmaster started the scoring three minutes into the final frame
- Scherer's goal with 11 minutes left put the 'Dogs on top 15-5
- Scarfogliero capped the scoring at the 1:29 mark
