IWLCA All-Region Teams
Northborough, Mass.----The regular season SAC champion Wingate University Bulldogs had four players earn
All-Atlantic Region accolades from the IWLCA.
Megan Millard and
Kathryn McCabe are first team All-Region selections, with
Kaleigh Wilgeroth and
Krysta Churns earning second team accolades.
The quartet led the Bulldogs to another impressive season, going 17-3 overall and 11-0 in the SAC to capture their third straight regular season SAC title. The 'Dogs advanced to the SAC championship game for the fourth straight season, while earning the second NCAA Tourney bid in program history.
Millard was named the SAC Midfielder of the Year, earning first team All-SAC accolades. The senior piled up 57 goals and 13 assists to go along with 61 draw controls, 28 caused turnovers and 36 ground balls. Millard led the 'Dogs in goals, ranking second in points and CTs and third in draw controls and ground balls. She was fifth in the SAC goals, sixth in points, 11th in draw controls and 13th in CTs.
McCabe was named the SAC Defensive Player of the Year. The sophomore registered 128 draw controls, 66 ground balls and 51 caused turnovers, adding a goal and an assist. She led a WU defense that led the nation in caused turnovers, while ranking eighth nationally in draw control percentage and ninth in scoring defense. McCabe led the SAC in caused turnovers and draw controls, ranking third in ground balls. She was 14th nationally in draw controls and 17th in CTs, ranking 25th in the nation in ground balls.
Wilgeroth led the Bulldogs with her 75 points, registering 45 goals and 30 assists to go along with 18 CTs and 20 ground balls. An All-American in 2024, Wilgeroth picked up first team All-SAC accolades in 2025. Wilgeroth ranked fourth in the SAC in points and assists, ranking 10th in goals. She was a key part of the 'Dogs ranking fourth in the nation in assists, sixth in points per game and ninth in scoring offense. Wilgeroth piled up 220 points in her Bulldog career, with 136 goals and 84 assists.
Churns is an All-Region honoree for the first time in her career. The All-SAC defender was another key factor in one of the nation's best defenses. Churns registered 25 caused turnovers on the year, adding 44 ground balls while also handing out an assist. She has been a key factor for a defense leading the nation in CTs for the second time in her three-year Wingate career.
