Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs picked up an impressive region victory Saturday afternoon, prevailing 2-1 against Lander University in NCAA Division II women's soccer action at Pride Park. The Bulldogs move to 3-1 on the year, while the Bearcats fall to 2-1-1 overall.

- Peyton Bibbee scored off a Claire Regault assist to give the Bearcats a 1-0 lead
- Wingate had the answer in the 24th minute
- Maino beat her defender towards the box, then found Polk in the middle of the box
- Polk lined home the equalizer to make it 1-1
SECOND HALF
- The Bulldogs took the lead in the 71st minute
- Maino once again got it started, finding Boyle in the middle
- Boyle drilled the eventual game-winning goal into the left corner
