Miami Shores, Fla.----The Barry University Bucs overcame an early 7-2 deficit Saturday evening, rallying for a 13-12 victory over visiting Wingate University in NCAA Division II baseball action. Barry moves to 1-1 on the year, while the Bulldogs fall to 1-1 overall.

FIRST INNING
- Sullivan's two-run homer started the scoring

- A Powell RBI single and McCammon RBI double pushed the WU lead back to four
- A sacrifice fly from Karpowicz gave the Bulldogs a 7-2 cushion
- Opie's two-run homer in the bottom of the frame capped a four-run inning, making it 7-6
FOURTH INNING
- Sullivan connected on a solo shot to give the 'Dogs an 8-6 advantage
- Opie blasted a two-run shot in the bottom of the frame to tie it
FIFTH INNING
- Zavier Hatfield led off the fifth with a solo homer, giving the Bucs their first lead
SIXTH INNING
- McCammon lined a one-out double down the left field line in the sixth
- Karpowicz followed with a two-run blast, giving the Bulldogs a 10-9 lead
- An Erik Blair solo shot in the bottom of the inning tied it
- RBI singles from Brady Blanks and Jalen Smith put the Bucs on top 12-10
EIGHTH INNING
- A Courville singles and a pair of hit batsmen loaded the bases for Wingate
- Courville scored on an error to make it a one-run game
- Powell followed with an RBI single to tie it at 12
- Smith's two-out solo homer in the bottom of the frame gave Barry the 13-12 advantage
WRAPUP
- John Perozzi got the win, striking out one in 1 1/3 shutout innings
- Charlie Carpenter took the loss, allowing four runs on six hits in three innings, striking out two
