Jefferson City, Tenn.----The Wingate University Bulldogs outscored Carson-Newman University 29-12 in the fourth quarter Saturday afternoon en route to an impressive 66-59 victory over the Eagles in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action. The Bulldogs improve to 16-8 overall and 11-7 in the SAC, while the Eagles fall to 16-8 overall and 12-6 in league play.

- A Gonzalez layup 90 second into the second half gave the Eagles a 12-point lead
- Isaac and Montiel answered with buckets to trim the deficit to eight
- Gonzalez buried a triple at the 5:47 mark, giving Carson-Newman a 42-31 advantage
- Harris and Merceron answered with buckets, pulling the 'Dogs back within seven
