Okatie, S.C.----The No. 6 Wingate University men's golf team is second at the midway point of the Oldfield Classic Monday. The University of South Carolina Beaufort is hosting this event at the
Oldfield Club. The Bulldogs are one stroke behind No. 8 Georgia Southwestern with 18+ holes remaining.

Due to a weather delay to start the first round, the 16 teams and 90 players did not finish the second round Monday. On Tuesday morning, the participants will complete the second round and play the third round.

Wingate led after 18 holes with a six-over-par 294. The Bulldogs are nine-over-par with six-to-seven holes left to play in the second round. Seniors
Lewis Beeden and
Alfie Storer both posted a one-over-par 73s in the first round, while sophomores
Brandon Skidmore and
Cole Rouse carded identical two-over-par 74s.
