9-1 victory highlights Wingate’s doubleheader split against #6 Francis Marion

Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs rolled to a 9-1 six-inning victory over sixth-ranked Francis Marion University in the opener of the NCAA Division II doubleheader Saturday afternoon, while the Patriots responded with a 7-4 victory in game two. Wingate moves to 9-5 on the year, while FMU goes to 15-4 overall. The victory gave head coach Sydney Lahners her 100th career win as a head coach.
