Rock Hill, S.C.----Wingate University senior long-stick midfielder Graham Tillett has been named the South Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, league officials announced Monday afternoon. Tillett earns Player of the Week accolades for the first time in his career.

Tillett led a defensive effort that saw the 'Dogs jump out to a 15-3 lead over Florida Southern in the season opener.

Tillett piled up four caused turnovers on the afternoon, while adding a pair of ground balls in a 17-11 victory for the fourth-ranked Bulldogs in Saturday's season opener.

Wingate is back in action Saturday, traveling to #19 Florida Tech for a noon start.
