Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs opened league play in dramatic fashion, getting a Kendra Murray walk-off three-run homer to take game one of Tuesday's South Atlantic Conference doubleheader 9-7 over Anderson University. The Trojans took game two 5-3. Wingate moves to 14-8 overall and 1-1 in the SAC, while Anderson goes to 15-5 overall and 1-1 in league play.

- Hobgood followed with her first career homer, a three-run shot to give the 'Dogs a five-run lead

- A Lauren Brakovec RBI single got Anderson on the board
- Chaney Crosby followed with an RBI single to make it -2

- The Trojans scored five times to take the lead
- A Kadence Barr sacrifice fly started the scoring
- Crosby's two-run single made it 6-5
- Jenna Davis reached on an error, allowing Brakovec to score and tie the game
- Kara Davis drew a bases-loaded walk to give Anderson a 7-6 advantage
- McFadden's one-out single started the WU rally in the bottom of the seventh
- Higginbotham reached on an error to put two on for the Bulldogs
- Murray launched a walk-off three-run homer to center to give Wingate the 9-7 win
