Pembroke, N.C.----The UNC Pembroke Braves scored four runs in the final three innings Tuesday night, prevailing 10-9 over visiting Wingate University in NCAA Division II baseball action. The Braves improve to 20-9 overall, while the Bulldogs fall to 23-8 on the season.

- Courville followed with an RBI single to give the 'Dogs a 2-0 lead
- Branton Jernigan's RBI single in the bottom of the frame got UNCP on the board
- Back-to-back bases-loaded hit batters gave the Braves a 3-2 advantage

THIRD INNING

- McCammon got things started with a two-out single
- Karpowicz followed with a two-run homer to put Wingate back on top
- Jernigan's RBI double in the bottom of the frame tied it
- A Morgan Padgett RBI single gave the Braves a 5-4 lead

FOURTH INNING

- Singles from Evans and Reaume started the fourth inning for the Bulldogs
- A Benamati RBI single tied it at five
- Powell's RBI groundout put the 'Dogs back on top 6-5

FIFTH INNING

- Karpowicz blasted a solo shot to give the Bulldogs a two-run cushion
- A pair of Wingate errors in the bottom of the frame allowed a run to score to make it 7-6

SIXTH INNING

- Benamati started the inning with a double, followed by a Groppuso walk
- A double steal put Bulldogs on second and third
- Powell's two-run double gave Wingate a 9-6 advantage

SEVENTH INNING

- Padgett's RBI single pulled the Braves within two runs

EIGHTH INNING

- A Wingate error allowed a UNCP run to score to make it a one-run contest
- Another error in the frame allowed the tying run to score

NINTH INNING

- A hit batter and error started the bottom of the ninth for UNCP
- A wild pitch allowed Ashton Donathan to score the winning run

WRAPUP

- Jarred Lindholm got the win, striking out three in a shutout frame, giving up one hit
- Braxton Walker took the loss, allowing a run on a hit
