Wingate, N.C.----The Catawba College Indians swept a doubleheader at Wingate University in South Atlantic Conference softball action Wednesday afternoon. The Indians won the opener 5-1, while prevailing 4-3 in eight innings in game two to improve to 18-13 overall and 4-2 in the SAC. The Bulldogs fall to 16-13 overall and 3-5 in league play.

GAME ONE | CATAWBA 5 WINGATE 1

- Nixon's sacrifice fly gave the Indians a four-run cushion

WRAPUP

- Alex Baquie got the win, allowing a run on seven hits in seven innings, striking out three and walking two
- Huneycutt took the loss, allowing five runs on 10 hits in seven innings of work
