No. 1 Wingate, No. 1 Bochaton lead Surratt Memorial after two rounds

Monroe, N.C.----The No. 1 Wingate University women's golf team leads the fifth annual Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate tournament at Stonebridge Golf Club Monday. The Bulldogs shot a three-under-par 285 in the first round and a six-under-par 282 in the second session for a nine-under-par 567. No. 2 Dallas Baptist is second, 11 strokes back at two-over-par 578.
 
NCAA Division II No. 1 player and Bulldogs sophomore Amely Bochaton is the individual leader at eight-under-par 136. The '25 National Player and Freshman of the Year shot a 67 in the first round and a 69 in the second stanza. Classmate Olivia Meinecke is third, two shots back at six-under-par 138.

New standards
 
Wingate's second round 282 is a new Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate tournament standard for low team 18 holes. The previous low was a 284 shot by Anderson in the '25 Surratt event. Lee senior Hannah Nall recorded a seven-under-par 65 in the second round, establishing a new tourney standard for low individual 18 holes. The previous low was a 67, recorded on two separate occasions.

- No. 4 Findlay and No. 14 Lee are tied for third place at nine-over-par 585
- Lee shot a five-under-par 283 in the second round
- Only Wingate's six-under-par 282 (also second round) was lower Monday
- No. 9 Lander and No. 3 Anderson are tied for fifth at 13-over-par 589
- Lee senior Hannah Nall is second at seven-under-par 137
- Nall posted rounds of even-par 72 and seven-under-par 65 Monday
- Her second-round 65 was Monday's low round
- Mary Elizabeth Harrison's second-round 75 matched her collegiate-low round

Looking ahead to Tuesday
 
The 18 teams and 96 student-athletes will begin the third and final round with a Tuesday morning shotgun start at 9 a.m. Spectators are encouraged to attend. Stonebridge Golf Club is located on 2721 Swilcan Burns Drive in Monroe, North Carolina.
