Wingate’s Amely Bochaton earns SAC Women’s Golfer of the Week laurels

Rock Hill, S.C.----Wingate University sophomore Amely Bochaton (Evian Les Bains, France) is the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Golfer of the Week for the second two weeks of the '26 NCAA championship campaign. Bochaton receives this honor for the fifth time this season and the eighth time in her WU career.
 
Bochaton won her 10th career title Tuesday, February 24, taking the individual crown in the Lady Moc Classic. Bochaton finished 54 holes at three-under-par 213, six shots better than Tampa senior Ruth Toennessen. In the third and final round, Bochaton had 12 pars, three birdies and three bogeys on the way to her even-par 72. Her second-round tally of four-under-par 68 was the low 18-hole score for the tournament. Bochaton finished 54 holes with a team-best 12 birdies.

Wingate hosts the fifth annual Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate tournament Monday and Tuesday March 9-10 at Stonebridge Golf Club in Monroe. The Bulldogs have won four-of-four Surratt Memorials, including the 2025 version by one shot over SAC rival Anderson.
