Sumter, S.C.----The top-seeded and eighth-ranked Catawba College Indians prevailed 4-0 over second-seeded and 19th-ranked Wingate University in the championship match of the South Atlantic Conference men's tennis tournament Saturday afternoon. The Indians improve to 18-1 overall, while the Bulldogs fall to 15-7 on the season.
DOUBLES
- Catawba prevailed 6-3 at two doubles and 6-2 at three double to secure the point
- The Indians took a 1-0 lead into singles play
SINGLES
- Catawba picked up another point when Ruben LeBron had to retire in the first set at two singles
- A 6-2, 6-1 win at three singles and 6-0, 7-6 victory at four singles clinched the Catawba victory
