Bulldogs and Lions split Saturday doubleheader

Mars Hill, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs bounced back from a 5-1 loss in game one of Saturday's South Atlantic Conference softball doubleheader at Mars Hill Saturday afternoon, prevailing 5-2 in game two to move to 24-18 overall and 9-11 in the SAC. The Lions go to 29-15 overall and 10-10 in league play.

GAME ONE | MARS HILL 5 WINGATE 1

- Mars Hill out-hit Wingate 6-4
- The Lions had all four extra-base hits
- The Bulldogs left six on base; Mars Hill stranded three
- The 'Dogs had the lone error in the contest
