#16 Bulldogs guarantee share of SAC title with 22-4 Senior Day victory

Wingate, N.C.----The 16th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs guaranteed at least a share of the regular season conference title Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 22-4 victory over Lincoln Memorial University in South Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse action at Irwin Belk Stadium and Founders Field. The Bulldogs improve to 13-3 overall and 9-0 in the SAC, while the Railsplitters fall to 6-10 overall and 2-7 in league play.

FIRST QUARTER

- Garvin started the scoring at the 11:13 mark off Knutson's assist
- Slayton scored off a Brooks assist 12 seconds later
- Glover's goal 42 seconds later made it 3-0
- Brooks scored again off a Benner assist with nine minutes left
- Jaiden James cut the lead to two with a goal midway through the frame
- Glover answered with a goal 22 seconds later
- Brooks scored off a Slayton assist at the 4:31 mark to make it 6-2
- Jones scored off a Brooks assist two minutes later
- Benner assisted on goals by Weber and Glover in a 45-second span to make it 9-2

SECOND QUARTER

- Glover scored three minutes in to start the WU scoring in the second frame
- Jones scored off a Benner assist 30 seconds later
- Glover scored off Knutson's assist 23 seconds after that to make it 12-3
- Benner scored 35 seconds later off a Jones assist to stretch the lead to 10
- Buckmaster scored back-to-back goals to make it 15-3
- Pavlick's goal at the 5:21 mark gave the 'Dogs a 13-goal halftime advantage

THIRD QUARTER

- Garvin scored off Knutson's assist 82 seconds into the second half
- Churns scored with 11:08 remaining to make it 18-3
- Jones capped the scoring in the frame at the 3:21 mark

FOURTH QUARTER

- Jones scored 68 seconds into the final frame off a Benner assist
- Churns scored again at the 6:54 mark to put the 'Dogs on top 21-4
- Allen capped the scoring with 5:19 to go
