Emory, Va.----The No. 6 Wingate University men's outdoor track and field team won its fourth consecutive South Atlantic Conference outdoor championship meet Thursday. Emory & Henry College hosted this year's SAC meet inside the Food City Sports Complex.
Wingate completed the 21-event meet with 211.5 points. Catawba finished second with 109 points, while Carson-Newman was third with 95.5 points. The Bulldogs won six events, including a clean sweep of the four distance competitions: the 1500 meters, the 3000-meter steeplechase, the 5000 meters and the 10,000 meters.
