Wingate, N.C.----The 12th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs committed 28 turnovers Wednesday afternoon, dropping a tight 9-8 contest against the University of Mount Olive in NCAA Division II women's lacrosse action at Irwin Belk Stadium and Founders Field. The Trojans improve to 8-5 overall, while the Bulldogs fall to 10-3 on the season.

- A Jordan Bolam goal with five minutes left gave Mount Olive a 3-0 lead
- Slayton got the 'Dogs on the board off a Knutson assist at the 1:41 mark
SECOND QUARTER
- Glover scored three minutes in to pull the Bulldogs within one
- Weber scored off a Jones assist 31 seconds later to tie it
- Katie Broom's goal with 6:10 remaining gave the Trojans a 5-3 advantage
THIRD QUARTER
- Glover's goal in the opening minute of the second half cut the lead to one
- Glover struck again at the 5:31 mark to tie it at five
FOURTH QUARTER
- Morghan Pollock scored 26 seconds into the final frame to give UMO a 6-5 lead
- Slayton answered with a goal at the 12:19 mark to tie it
- Broom's goal two minutes later put the Trojans back on top
- Glover scored off Slayton's assist 23 seconds later to make it 7-7
- Goals from Bolam and Lilly Berg gave Mount Olive a 9-7 lead with 1:03 remaining
- Jones scored with 17 seconds left to make it a one-goal game
- Pavlick won the ensuing draw control, but the 'Dogs were unable to get a shot off
