Biography



2011-12: Quan Alexander started 13 games during his junior season as Wingate advanced into the NCAA Division II tournament. Alexander posted 5.3 points per game and 3.3 rebounds per game. Alexander scored a season-high 22 points, shooting eight-of-13 from the field and grabbing nine rebounds in a SAC win over Mars Hill. Alexander put up 16 points in a SAC victory at Lenoir-Rhyne. He shot 78.2 percent from the free throw line.

2010-11: Alexander started in 29 games during his sophomore season at Wingate, averaging 9.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. For the Bulldogs, Alexander was third in scoring and second in rebounding. He scored double-figures 15 times for the second consecutive year. Alexander scored a career-high 23 points, shooting 11-of-15 from the field, in a win over Catawba in the Food Lion SAC tournament. He had two double-double games, one against Mars Hill with a career-high 12 rebounds and 10 points and the other against Mount Olive when he scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
 
2009-10: Alexander started all 28 games during his first season at Wingate, averaging 10.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. He was named to the SAC All-Freshman team. Alexander scored in double figures 15 times on the year. He had 21 points and seven rebounds in his collegiate debut against Armstrong Atlantic State. He poured in 17 points on eight-of-10 shooting against Mount Olive. Alexander pulled down a career-high 10 rebounds in the game at Armstrong Atlantic State. He scored in double figures in five consecutive SAC contests, while also pulling down 25 rebounds in the stretch. Alexander finished the season by scoring in double figures his last four games, starting with a 15-point performance against Newberry, hitting four-of-six shots from the field and seven-of-nine from the free throw line. 

High School: Alexander played for head coach Rick Lewis at Myers Park High School. As a senior, Alexander averaged 15 points per game, seven rebounds per game and two steals per game for the Mustangs. Myers Park compiled a 24-7 overall record during Alexander’s senior campaign. 
 
A member of the Myers Park 1000-point club, Alexander earned All-Conference and All-District honors two years each. During his career, the Mustangs won two conference regular season championships, a conference tournament title and a sectional tournament crown.
