Biography

2011: Justin Nygard had eight appearances on the mound in his first season at Wingate in 2011, starting seven games. He went 1-2 on the year with a 9.43 ERA. Nygard had 25 strikeouts in 27 2/3 innings of work.

High School: Nygard was the team captain and team MVP as a senior at Hunt High School, where he led the team with an 8-1 record, 1.50 ERA and 96 strikeouts. Nygard played at Pitt Community College for two years, where they won the conference and district title in 2010, going to the JUCO World Series. He went 16-2 in his two seasons with 144 strikeouts. Justin is the son of James Nygard and Robin Barnes. He is an Accounting major.
