2019: BJ Muckelvene earned All-SAC honors for the second time in his career and the first time as a wide receiver…Posted 33 receptions for 581 yards and eight TDs…His touchdown total was third in the SAC…Concluded regular season with seven catches for 115 yards and a score at Mars Hill…Posted 89 receiving yards in each of the first two games, while recording 104 yards and two scores against UNCP…Had seven catches for 106 yards and a TD at Lenoir-Rhyne…Notched 101 rushing yards and 98 punt return yards on the season…Wingate's 2019 seniors set a record with 36 career victories...

2018: Muckelvene had 28 receptions for 447 yards and five touchdowns…Grabbed seven receptions for 127 yards and three scores in a win at UNC Pembroke…Caught seven passes against Fayetteville State…Returned 12 punts for 123 yards with five returns for 46 yards against Johnson C. Personal: BJ Muckelvene was a standout wide receiver for CHS head coach David Johnson. Muckelvene helped guide the Cavaliers to the 2014 conference championship and a semi-final appearance in the 3AA state play-offs. In 2014, Muckelvene was the team’s leading receiver with 97 receptions for 1509 yards and 23 touchdowns. He was selected to the all-conference team and All-Observer team. Muckelvene was an ncpreps.com All-State selection. BJ is the son of Brian and Charice Muckelvene.
