Personal: Stadler played football for his dad (Lin) at Rockingham County High School. As a senior, he led the team in passing yardage and touchdown passes. On the baseball diamond, Stadler was team MVP, team captain and an all-tournament choice his senior season for head baseball coach Chris Loye. David is the son of Lin and Edie Stadler. His dad played baseball at Western Carolina, while his uncle was a walk-on football student-athlete at Wake Forest.
