2017: Preseason All-SAC first team selection…

2016: Team captain Lawrence Pittman proved why he is one the top running backs in college football…The All-SAC honoree had a league-best 15 rushing touchdowns…Started six games for the ‘Dogs before missing the remainder of the campaign with a season-ending injury…Recorded 786 total rushing yards and 817 all-purpose yards… Top yardage total at Limestone 190 yards on 35 carries with four scores…School-record five rushing TDs versus Shaw with 137 yards on 20 carries…Also had a reception for 22 yards against Shaw…Contributed 133 yards and two touchdowns versus Johnson C. Smith, 140 yards and three touchdowns versus Brevard and 156 yards against Catawba…Will be a key returner for the Bulldogs in 2017…

2015: Pittman was second in the South Atlantic Conference in rushing yards (1227) and rushing yards per game (111.5)…All-SAC, first team…Fourth in the league in rushing TDs (11) and sixth in scoring (66 points)…Posted a career-high 205 yards on 36 carries in a 24-14 victory at (then) number 16 Lenoir-Rhyne…Had five 100+ yard games, including a 193-yard performance at Catawba as Wingate collected a 17-0 SAC road victory…
 
2014: Pittman rushed for 83 yards on eight carries in his collegiate debut at Limestone…Scored a TD against the LC Saints…Posted 11 carries for 47 yards in a SAC road victory at Brevard…Recorded rushing touchdowns against Limestone and number six Lenoir-Rhyne…Had a tackle assist against UNC Pembroke…

Personal: Lawrence Pittman played football for head coach Mike Palmieri, helping MCHS win the 2013 4AA state championship. Pittman was selected as an all-conference running back following his junior and senior years. A first team All-Mecklenburg County selection in 2013, he finished the 2013 campaign with 2037 yards and 21 touchdowns. He earned his team’s 2013 sportsmanship award. Pittman was named National Player of the Week for his 315 rushing yards, four-touchdown performance in the regional final. Lawrence is the son of Michelle Scott.
