2016: Michael Baker utilizied the 2016 season as a redshirt season…

Personal: Michael Baker was an all-conference performer in both football and baseball for Ayden-Grifton. His football coach was Paul Cornwell. As a senior defensive back, Baker recorded 41 tackles (10 for a loss), three forced fumbles, a sack and an interception for the Chargers. He helped the team advance to the second round of the NCHSAA 2A state playoffs. Baker also saw time at running back. Michael is the son of Michael Baker, Sr. and Gabriela Baker.
