Tyrone Scott’s ability to change directions quickly led to three pass break-ups and 16 tackles for the Bulldog defense in 2009. Scott had a career-high nine total tackles in a victory over North Greenville (Sept. 5, 2009). He had three stops in a season-opening triumph over West Georgia.

In 2008, Scott posted two tackles in a big home victory over Elizabeth City State. In 2007, he registered six tackles for the Bulldogs. His tally sheet featured three solo stops and four total tackles in a road victory at UNC Pembroke. Scott notched single stops against Newberry and Catawba. At White Oak High School, Scott was a member of the football, basketball and track teams. He earned a trophy case-full of awards, including All-Conference and All-County in both football and basketball. An All-Area choice in football, Scott led the team in receptions and tackles his senior year. In track, he was All-Region and All-State. Scott was born in Naples, Italy. He is a youth counselor at his home church. Tyrone is the son of Tyrone and Louise Scott.
