Biography

2015-16: Josh Dominguez appeared in 29 games during his junior season at Wingate, making seven starts…Averaged 6.8 points and 3.1 rebounds per contests, adding 23 assists, 10 blocks and nine steals…Shot 53.5 percent from the field and 45.1 percent from three-point range…Had 16 points on five-of-seven shooting in the win over sixth-ranked Mount Olive, adding six rebounds…Went three-for-three from the field and eight-for-nine at the line at LMU, scoring 16 points…Had 12 points on five-of-seven shooting at Johnson C. Smith…Poured in 21 points on seven-of-10 shooting in the Coker win, adding seven rebounds and three assists…Had 19 points, six rebounds and two blocks in the Tusculum win, going four-for-five from the field and 10-of-12 at the free throw line…Had 18 points and seven rebounds in the Brevard victory…Went three-for-five from three-point range against Carson-Newman in the SAC Tournament, collecting 12 points and two assists.

2014-15: Dominguez appeared in nine games during his sophomore season, making six starts for the Bulldogs while battling through injuries…Averaged 6.4 points and 2.9 rebounds per game…Had eight points at GRU Augusta, followed by a nine-point effort at Carson-Newman, adding five rebounds…Scored seven points against Lenoir-Rhyne on seven-of-eight shooting at the free throw line, while scoring a season-high 10 points against Lincoln Memorial.

2013-14: Dominguez earned a spot on the All-SAC Freshman team during his first year at Wingate…Ranked third on the team with 9.7 points per game, adding 3.1 rebounds per game…Second on the team with 31 made three pointers, shooting 39.7 percent from beyond the arc to rank 11th in the SAC…Scored in double figures 13 times while registering one double-double…Scored 14 points on five-of-seven shooting in collegiate debut…Had 16 points and 12 boards at Mars Hill…Scored 15 points on six-of-seven shooting against Barber-Scotia…Had 20 points against Carson-Newman, knocking down six triples…Had 19 points on seven-of-10 shooting against Queens…Had 18 points against Coker…Hit three-of-four shots from beyond the arc at Brevard, compiling 14 points and four assists. 

High School: Averaged 25 points, five rebounds and three assists per game for Metrolina as a senior...An All-Conference selection as a junior...Was named the team’s Most Valuable Player in the 2011-12 season...Was named the team’s Most Improved player during the 2010-11 season...Led Metrolina in scoring, three-point shooting and steals, averaging 14.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.1 assists per game...Team captain as a senior...Was a quarterback and wide receiver on the Metrolina football team...Earned a spot on the A/B honor roll at Metrolina.
