Biography
2011-12: Paidrick Matilus appeared in 33 of 33 games for the Bulldogs as a junior. In his 33 games, he scored double figures in 17 of the contests. Matilus averaged 10.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. He recorded an eight-game streak of double-figure scoring. Matilus scored 16 points in a overtime victory over Lincoln Memorial in the Food Lion SAC semifinals. Matilus scored his season high of 22 points in two contests, one against number four Lincoln Memorial and the other against Catawba. Matilus hit 37 three-pointers, fourth on the team charts. His 32 steals were third on the team. Matilus was Wingate’s top free throw shooter, nailing 86.9 percent of his charity tosses.
2010-11: Matilus appeared in 29 of 29 games for the Bulldog as a sophomore. He averaged 9.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Matilus went on a six-game streak of double-figure scoring. On the season, he had 14 double-figure scoring games. Matilus started the season scoring 17 points against Armstrong, then recorded a season-high against Limestone, going six-of-ten from the field for 18 points. In the Food Lion SAC semifinals, Matilus went five-for-five from the field for 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help lead the Bulldogs to the SAC tournament championship game.
2009-10: Paidrick Matilus appeared in all 28 games for the Bulldogs during his first season, starting 24 contests. He was named to the SAC All-Freshman team. Matilus was third on the team and 16th in the conference with 11.6 points per game. He also pulled down 4.1 rebounds per contest and led the team with 40 steals. Matilus scored in double figures 17 times on the season. He had a career-high 27 points against Belmont Abbey, hitting eight-of-14 shots from the field, including five-of-nine shooting from three-point range. He had 19 points and five rebounds against USC Aiken. Matilus ended his season by scoring in double figures his final eight games, starting with a 17-point, six rebound performance against Catawba. He had 19 points, four assists and two steals at Lenoir-Rhyne.
High School: Matilus completed a solid career at Grandview Preparatory School by earning honorable mention All-State honors as a senior. Thanks to the efforts of Matilus and his teammates, the Pride posted a 28-1 overall record for head coach

As a senior, Matilus averaged 14.4 points per game, 7.8 rebounds per game and 3.0 assists per game. He earned first team All-Palm Beach County following his senior campaign.
