Hannah Clark joined the Wingate University Women’s Basketball coaching staff as an Assistant Coach in May 2025, returning to her alma mater after beginning her coaching career at Lenoir-Rhyne University. As a former Bulldog and program leader, Clark brings a wealth of playing experience, leadership, and a deep understanding of the Wingate basketball tradition to the Bulldogs’ coaching staff.
Clark enjoyed a remarkable five-year career as Wingate’s starting point guard, helping lead the Bulldogs to some of the most successful seasons in program history. Her leadership on the court played a key role in Wingate capturing the South Atlantic Conference Tournament Championship in 2024, the SAC Regular Season Championship in 2022, and earning three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances.
Individually, Clark earned numerous accolades throughout her collegiate career. She was named the 2024 SAC Tournament Most Valuable Player and earned selections to the All-SAC Tournament Team, Southeast All-District Team, and multiple All-SAC teams during her final three seasons. She surpassed the 1,000-point milestone during her senior year and helped lead the Bulldogs to an 18-game winning streak, which was the longest in the nation at the time. Clark finished her career with 1,428 points, averaging 16.7 points per game, while ranking among the nation’s top performers in three-point shooting and free-throw percentage.
Prior to her collegiate career, Clark was a standout at Kings Mountain High School, where she scored 2,032 career points. She remains the all-time leading scorer in Cleveland County girls’ basketball history and the all-time leading scorer at Kings Mountain High School, regardless of gender. Clark earned All-Conference honors in all four seasons, received All-District recognition during her final two years, and was named Conference Player of the Year as a senior. She also represented her school and community in the North Carolina East-West All-Star Game.
Clark’s extensive playing background, championship experience, and passion for player development make her a valuable asset to the Wingate women’s basketball program. As a former Bulldog, she is committed to helping student-athletes excel on the court, in the classroom, and throughout their collegiate experience while continuing the tradition of success at Wingate University.
