Biography
2010-11: Kersmark was an All-Bluegrass Mountain Conference selection in the 200 Backstroke, the 200 Medley Relay and the 400 and 800 Freestyle relay events. In the classroom, she was an honorable Scholar All-American, as selected by the CSCAA.
2009-10: Kersmark won All-Conference trophies and made spectacular showings look routine. She continued to be one of Wingate’s top backstrokers throughout the season, including a second-place finish at the BMC championships in her signature 200 Backstroke. Kersmark was All-Conference in the 100 Backstroke as well as several relays.
2008-09: As a freshman who entered the season with high expectations, Malin Kersmark did not disappoint. Consistently at the top of Backstroke events for the Bulldogs, Kersmark even showed she was a strong sprint freestyler as well. Kersmark was named All-Conference for her backstroke races as well as her relays.
PERSONAL: Kersmark hails from Sweden. She will serve as a team captain during the 2011-12 season.
