2014-15: Sofia Petrenko led the Bulldog women’s team in the Freestyle, Individual Medley and Butterfly events. She received All-Bluegrass Mountain Conference honors at the BMC championships with three second-place finishes in the 200 Freestyle (1:49.36), the 200 Butterfly (2:00.04) and the 200 Individual Medley (2:01.00). She also joined three teammates to compete in the 200, 400 and 800 Freestyle relays and the 400 Medley Relay during the BMC championship. On the NCAA level, Petrenko was one of the four women who won a National Championship in the 400 Medley Relay (3:40.28). Individually, she had three top eight performances at NCAAs: 200 Freestyle (1:49.24, fifth), 200 Butterfly (2:00.03, fourth) and 200 Individual Medley (2:00.37, third). The multi-event All-American broke Wingate swimming records in the 200 IM (NCAAs), 500 Freestyle (4:54.86, SCAD invite) and 400 IM (4:18.69, SCAD invite). Petrenko holds five individual records for the Wingate Bulldogs.

2013-14: Petrenko will long remember her inaugural campaign as a Bulldog, as she earned All-American laurels in six events (200 IM, 200 Free, 200 Fly, 400 Medley Relay, 400 Free Relay, 800 Free Relay) with the Wingate women finishing sixth in the NCAA Division II national championship meet…

In the 2014 Bluegrass Mountain Conference championship meet, Petrenko was All-BMC in six events (200 IM, 200 Free, 200 Fly, 400 Medley Relay, 400 Free Relay, 800 Free Relay) as the Bulldogs won their second consecutive BMC title…Petrenko was either second (three times) or third (three times) in her six All-BMC swims…

Petrenko claimed three first-place individual finishes at the UNC Wilmington dual meet Jan. 18, 2014...Petrenko outdistanced the competition in the 200 Freestyle (1:55.98), the 200 Butterfly (2:09.12) and the 400 Indivdiual Medley (4:35.20)...She won the 200 Freestyle by .01 of a second...Petrenko swam the first leg as the Bulldogs won the 400 Freestyle Relay (3:39.96) over the UNCW Seahawks...
