Hollyn Alberghini won 11 matches at number three singles during the 2008 campaign. Her 11 victories were second on the 2008 team charts. Alberghini picked up league wins over Lincoln Memorial (twice), Catawba and Mars Hill during her sophomore season. A solid doubles player, she won five matches at number one doubles with Kara Stasikelis.

As a freshman, Alberghini spent most of her time at the number two singles position for the Bulldogs. She won two matches at number two and three matches at number three during her first season in the blue-and-gold.

Alberghini played number one singles for head coach Mark Cook at West Stanly High School. Alberghini was All-Rocky River Conference (RRC), All-County and All-State in her senior campaign. She captained her team for three seasons and won the team MVP award in 2005 and 2006.

Alberghini was also a member of the All-RRC basketball team. She won the team defensive award as well. Off the court, Alberghini was vice president of the student council. Hollyn is the daughter of Mark and Carla Alberghini.
